Done For You

Manuscript Map

Work with me 1:1 to set the compass and plot the course of your entire book, so you can stop wasting time on the wrong stuff.

On your own, it can take months

to start making real headway on your manuscript, especially if it’s your first one.

Meanwhile, your future readers are out there...

not hearing about you, not seeking your help, and definitely not taking your business to the next level.

Skip the wait and jump-start your manuscript in just 2 days.

Here's how it works.

You get my undivided attention for 2 whole days. About half the time, you'll be talking to me. The other half I'll be working my writing magic behind the scenes.

By the end, you’ll have a step-by-step map for writing your manuscript:

  • A clear, compelling description of what your book is about and why it matters
  • A detailed profile of your ideal reader
  • A top-level outline of the chapters in your book, including chapter titles and main ideas
  • Outlines of each chapter, including the stories, concepts, examples, research, etc. to include
  • A custom daily writing plan tailored to your lifestyle
  • Personalized recommendations on the best publishing path for your book

Truly blown away.

Madison helped me do something I could never do on my own — write a book. She was able to absorb very complex and nuanced concepts and articulate them in a clear and concise way. I was truly blown away by the final product. Madison definitely gets a 5 star rating. She is positive, professional and made this process truly enjoyable. I have already engaged her for my next book and I honestly believe there is not any topic she cannot handle.

No more...

Freezing up in front of a blank page

Wasting hours on writing you end up throwing out

Putting it off because it just feels too hard

Wondering who really cares anyway

Losing the through-line of your big message

Worrying that you’re missing something crucial

With a Manuscript Map...

you'll know what to say and who to say it to, so you can write with confidence, ease, and efficiency.

If you’re thinking of working with Madison, do it! She’s easy to talk to and nonjudgmental, and her calming demeanor made the process of creating a book much easier.

I am working through the first draft of my book and keep saying to myself “Wow, Madison is a rock star!” I am grateful for her gifts and hard-earned ability to channel the thoughts in my “too technical” brain.

There are two ways your book project can go

Believe me, I've been down both of these roads before.

The long way
  • You just start writing and see where it goes.
  • Some days writing is easy, but mostly it's a painful slog, and you have to force yourself to do it.
  • You keep getting stuck or rehashing ideas you've already tackled.
  • Months later, you have pages and pages of material, but it's all a mess.
  • You start to wonder whether you're truly capable of writing a book, or if it's really worth it.
  • Your book falls down the priority list because you don't have a deadline and can't measure your progress.
  • You don't know when to stop — you just keep piling ideas in there in hopes they'll add value.
  • When you go back and read it all, it feels disjointed and inconsistent, but you don't know how to fix it.
  • After a year or more of work, you face two crappy options: publish a book you know isn't ready or spend even more time (and thousands of dollars) hiring an editor to help you fix it.
The Manuscript Map way
  • Before you even start writing, you're super clear on what you want to say and who you're saying it to.
  • Writing feels easy because you know what to write about — it's right there in your Manuscript Map.
  • You set deadlines for each chapter and hold yourself accountable.
  • You can clearly see the progress you're making as you move through the Map, which motivates you to stay committed.
  • When you have new ideas, you can make quick, strategic decisions about whether and where to include them.
  • In the end, your manuscript feels coherent and provides value to your readers because the Map kept you focused on the right things the whole time.

In a word, amazing.

I have worked with several ghost writers and Madison is head and shoulders above all the others. Her sharp intellect allows her to truly understand complex material incredibly quickly, so you’ll never have to explain an idea more than once.  In fact, she will quickly be adding value to your ideas, not just by making them flow more clearly on the page, but sharpening them and helping shape them for your audience. She is efficient and well organized.  And she’s a delight to work with – she’s quick to share her ideas but never forces them, and is super flexible in the way she works. In a word, amazing.

FAQ

The Manuscript Map Intensive is a serious investment in your book, so let's be clear about all the details.

Is this right for me?
  • Do you want to write a nonfiction book?
  • Do you have at least a vague idea of what it’s about?
  • Are you committed and ready to invest in making it happen?
  • Do you want an expert to save you months of agonizing and set you up to write productively?
  • Then yep, this is for you.
Will this guarantee me a successful book?

Sorry, but no. Nothing can do that, and don't trust anyone who tries to tell you otherwise. What this intensive gives you is a personalized game plan that guides you through the process of writing your manuscript, step-by-step. It will help you avoid the pitfalls that plague first-time authors so you can finish faster, with a better quality manuscript. But still, a lot depends on you. I can give you the plan, but it's up to you to follow it.

Do I need to be present the entire time?

You'll need to clear your calendar from 9 AM to 5 PM for 2 days in a row. When you're not on the phone with me, you'll be doing important mental work that's essential to the process. Part of the benefit of this intensive process is that it forces you to set aside this time just for your book, so you can get immersed in it without distractions.

What happens afterwards?

You write! And if you get stuck during that process, you'll have access to exclusive support services I only offer to my 1:1 clients. Even if you end up deciding to work with a ghostwriter, the Manuscript Map is incredibly valuable — it's the perfect tool to show them exactly what you're aiming for.

Do you offer refunds?

If you choose to cancel your intensive more than 48 hours before it starts, you receive a full refund minus a $200 cancellation fee. Within 48 hours of the start time, the cancellation fee increases to $1000. Once you begin the intensive, there are no refunds. During the process, there are multiple opportunities for you to give feedback and make sure my work is aligned with your thinking, so you walk away with a Manuscript Map that will serve you well.

Stop guessing and do this book thing the pro way.

"Can you just write the whole book for me?"

You bet! If you'd rather just talk through your ideas and leave the writing to the experts (me), the Full Manuscript package is what you need.
